This Privacy Policy explains how ADHD LLC (“Tradecraft”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) collects, uses and shares your information when you use Tradecraft (“Tradecraft App”, “App”, “Application”).
HOW WE COLLECT AND USE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
Tradecraft is an anonymous application. This means you don’t need to provide any personal information to use the application. The only information that we use to identify the user is a randomly generated sequence of numbers and letters, which is stored on your device (“User ID”).
Since Tradecraft uses end-to-end encryption for all messages, we do not have the capability to read or decrypt the content of any messages that you send or receive using the App. We have developed our app to allow only the chat participants (i.e. the sender and the receiver) to decrypt messages for that chat.
We want to make our Application as private and secure as possible, but please be aware that no security or privacy safeguard is ever perfect.
Metadata: Encrypted messages contain “metadata” that enable our servers to deliver messages to the intended recipient(s) and enable processing of the messages on the recipient’s device. This metadata is limited to data such as: timestamps, message types, sender and recipient User IDs, and other non-personally identifiable information.
User Information: When you use our application, you will create a “Persona”, which can be described as a character that you play and control within the App. Your Persona has a name, that you may change at any time. Names are not unique and the same name may be used by many Personas. Your Persona name is publicly displayed when you interact with the App, such as when you, “show your Persona in discovery” or send a message to another user. If your Persona name contains your real name, people may be able determine your identity. We will also ask you for additional information, such as your Persona’s given age bracket, gender, emojis and description, as well as photos that will be associated with your Tradecraft Persona. This information is publicly available to all other users of the App.
User Content: When you interact with the App, we collect the information and content you create. For example, we collect the encrypted text and/or image content of your messages. This encrypted information is stored on the servers so we can provide the communication services of the application. Remember, this information is encrypted before it leaves your device (“End-to-end encryption”), so we (or third parties) cannot read it, and once you delete it, it is gone. If you use the ‘Burn’ feature on the App (or delete the App from your device), the encryption keys will be deleted and any content that was previously encrypted from the App on your device will be unrecoverable. Please keep in mind that if you include information that could identify you in the text or image of a message, people who see it (such as the recipient of the message) may determine your identity. Tradecraft does not post messages publicly but, as with any message that you send via any service, the recipient might do so. When you delete messages in the App, (using the message ‘burn’ feature), the messages will be deleted from both your App, the recipient’s App, and from the servers.
Location Information: The app will not work unless you provide us with some information about your location. If you consent to the collection of location information (e.g. if you permit your mobile device to provide us your approximate latitude and longitude), we will collect and use this information to tailor your interactions and experiences with the application. For example, your Persona will be discoverable based on its location, which is set to the nearest town center from your given location. Specifically, we do not display your exact location; we assign your Persona a location equal to the center of the city or town closest to your device’s actual location.
Usage Information: We collect information about your use of the Application, including access times, pages and personas viewed, and user interactions (e.g. sent/received requests) and other information about your interactions with us and other users. We use this information to, among other things, personalize your experience, and to analyze and improve the App.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the App, which may include the hardware model, operating system and version, IP address, device identifiers and mobile network information. Among other things, we use this information to customize the App for your device, to provide customer service and support, to deliver the App improvements you request, to deliver notifications, and for user safety
WHAT PERMISSIONS WE MAY ASK FROM YOU
To let you know about new incoming messages, we request that you enable push notifications for the Tradecraft App. We may use a third party service provider to provide push notification service for us. This is only a notification service and, other than the operators of the push notification services knowing that your device has received a message on Tradecraft, the operators do not receive any personally identifiable data. We do not send any message contents or, to the best of our knowledge, personally identifiable data to the operators of push notification services.
To take and send photos or videos from within the Tradecraft App on an iOS device, you will need to provide access to your camera.
To enable you to send photos that are stored on your iOS device, you will need to provide access to your photos. If you are using an iOS device and want to only use the camera within the Tradecraft App to send pictures, you do not need to allow access to your photos stored on your iOS device.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
When you use the App, certain information may be shared with other users. For example:
When you use Tradecraft’s messaging function to directly contact another user, the recipient of your chat message will see your username and the contents of your message.
If you invite others to try the App or find your Persona on Tradecraft using your Friend Code, via your device’s SMS, email or otherwise, those individuals may see your name, phone number, email address or other contact information that is typically shown by the method you use.
We may also share information as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:
With vendors, consultants, counsel and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;
If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Tradecraft or others;
In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company;
Between and among Tradecraft, and its current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership;
If we have a good faith belief that disclosing the information is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; and
With your consent or at your direction.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
MINORS
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Application. If you are not at least 18 years of age, under no circumstances should you download the App, use the App or provide any information to us.
USERS OUTSIDE THE U.S.
Tradecraft is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. If you are a user using the Tradecraft App from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, please be advised that through your access of, or your continued use of the Tradecraft App, which is governed by U.S. law, this Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Use, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you expressly consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S.
CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, as may be necessary to conduct activity and/or as may be required by applicable law. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we use information provided, or made available, to us, at the discretion of Tradecraft, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Website or via push notification to the application. You will be bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when you use or access our Application after such changes have been first posted.
